Mike Gerhart and Rustic Ventures successfully completed a composite rebuild of a (formerly) wood deck that required some problem solving and coordination with other professionals to address some difficult structural issues. The work started during the Covid pandemic and continued through a time when I was traveling abroad, then while I was hospitalized for 2 months after my return. Mike was able to keep the project moving through all this while always exhibiting the utmost in courtesy and professionalism. Mike conducted a six-month warranty inspection to address any follow-up concerns. I am very happy with the result. I would highly recommend Rustic Ventures to anyone.

I have a very busy schedule and was impressed with Mike, from MV Rustic Ventures. He sent me a link to schedule a phone call to talk about my deck. I hadn’t really had the experience with this before and felt a little awkward. When Mike called he was very mindful ensuring he was listening to what I needed for my deck, usually contractors just brag and puke all over me about stuff I don’t want to hear about. What really put Mike at the top of the list of the contractors we called was being able to provide what it would cost from the pictures and video I sent him. The other guys came out and seemed like they wasted my time and took 3-7 days with getting back to me with a quote! I ended up calling MV Rustic Ventures back and moving forward with them. After the contract was signed Mike even sent over an email of the steps moving forward and timelines from the contract date, construction time, and warranty follow-up visit. The experience was way above and beyond from any other contractor, he is cream of the crop, I now know why he is the Uncommon Contractor.

We really enjoyed the experience that MV Rustic Ventures offered. We had called other contractors and kept getting the run around. They would come out take measurements and say the would send us a quote in 3-4days. We would never hear from them again, not answer their phones or the scope of work didn’t match what we had discussed. We scheduled a phone appointment seamlessly with MV Rustic Ventures, Mike called and listened to what we had envisioned for our project, he was even able to provide expected cost during our phone call. After dealing with the rigmarole with other contractors MV Rustic Ventures will be our first contact, what really stood out beyond everything was the commitment to the planning and scheduling. I was really astonished that a contractor was providing this detail with my past project management and superintendent experience. The team really went above and beyond ensuring removal and clean-up of the job site everyday.

Mike was incredibly professional, We talked about the job i needed done on my porch (power wash and stain) and he guided me through the process. I will work with MV Rustic Ventures to also get a bid on my back deck as well for later in the season!
